p168.forumotion.com This is a demonstration of how to download the firmware off the CECT P168 phone to your computer as a “.bin” file. It WAS next to imposable to find the firmware for this phone searching around on the internet until I made this video. That was the reason why I made this video in the first place. Now the problem is there are so many different versions of this phone out that it’s important that you have the correct version. When I made this video there were only 2 types of P168′s. Now there are many more. Other firmware versions may not work properly with YOUR phone due to continuous hardware upgrades by the manufacturer. This video will show you how to get the firmware off YOUR OWN phone directly. Does the cable work with CECT 599?
You have to uncheck the “Check Baseband Chip” option since the mt6225 chip (which is the p168+ and the p168c) is not listed under the chip options. I believe it’s somewhere under options menu.

When it downloads I get this message {Brom} target baseband chip is inconsistant with MT6226BA. {ACTION}Please select the suitable bin files for for the targets baseband chip.I am now at a loss.
