    okay im trying to do this on Windows Vista. I downloaded Vlc and handbrake and when the movie is done converting the quality is horrible. Is there something i have to do to VLC?

    it’s not illegal to rip the movie onto your computer to watch it or to put it on an ipod. But it is illegal to copy it to disk or send to someone.

    i downloaded handbrake and the required vlc, but handbrake says that i still need vlc in order to scan… what did i do wrong? i got the required version of vlc for the latest handbrake but its not reading anything… help!
